RCDC<\/strong> In Addition too<\/h1>\n

Anyone who has been approved for the\u00a0Disability Tax Credit\u00a0can open\u00a0a Government approved bank account, where additional funds are contributed by the Government.\u00a0This account is called\u00a0a\u00a0Registered Disability Savings Plan\u00a0(RDSP). The RDSP\u00a0is a savings plan that can be established at any participating Canadian banking institution in the name of qualifying individuals or their representatives.\u00a0It is intended\u00a0as a long-term financial security savings plan of a person who is eligible for the Disability Tax Credit. Contributions to an RDSP are not tax deductible and can be made until the beneficiary turns 60. Funds that are withdrawn from the RDSP\u00a0are not\u00a0considered as taxable\u00a0in income for the beneficiary when they are paid out of an RDSP. However, the Canada Disability Savings Grant (CDSG), Canada Disability Savings Bond (CDSB) and Investment Income (IE) earned in the plan are\u00a0as taxable income for the\u00a0beneficiary when paid out of the RDSP.\u00a0A CDSG grant is an amount that the Government of Canada contributes to an RDSP. The Government will match grants of 300, 200, or 100 percent, depending on the beneficiary’s family income and the amount contributed.\u00a0An RDSP can get a maximum of $3,500 in matching grants in one year, and up to $70,000 over the beneficiary’s lifetime. A grant can be paid into an RDSP on contributions made to the beneficiary’s RDSP until the beneficiary turns 50.\u00a0 A CDSB bond is an amount paid by the Government of Canada directly into an RDSP. The Government will pay bonds of up to $1,000 a year to low-income Canadians with disabilities. No contributions have to be made to get the bond. The lifetime bond limit is $20,000. A bond can be paid into an RDSP until the\u00a0beneficiary turns 50.<\/p>\n\t\n\t\n\t\n <\/span>Donate Now<\/a>\n\t\t\t\t\"Alt\n\t

My daughter referred me to RCDC, a nutritionist, and had no idea about the DTC and that I might qualify. RCDC helped me through the process I would never have been able to do on my own. After 2 hours sitting with them, they helped me to determine if I would qualify and to decide if I should apply. They also provided information directly for my doctor, who knew some things about the DTC but not enough to determine if I qualified. I received over $19,000 back and I was able to pay off some bills and take care of my family with the money. I also get over $2,000 more in my income tax refund every year.
